The meanings of the acronym R.I.P. are varied and many, including the oldest and perhaps best known Latin phrase, “Requiescat in pace” (let him rest in peace). Wikipedia ascribes more than 2 dozen meanings to the letters, but the one most fitting for us is “Recovery Is Possible”.
