Canadian Design in Ontario. Know where Orono is? It’s about 1 hour northeast of Toronto, in rural Ontario. Not exactly the place where you would think to find leading edge furniture design of the 1960’s. Curveply and the Nesting Furniture Company were located across the highway from the Orono Fairgrounds and for a very short time produced furniture which is now very scarce and much sought after in the world of Canadian Design. The blue pod chair was manufactured by the Nesting Furniture Company. It’s in the store and it’s in mint original condition! An extremely rare piece. Priced at $475.00.
